In 1996 HAMMEL Recyclingtechnik GmbH started out with three employees at its headquarters in Bad Salzungen, Germany. Since then we improve and continue to expand our expertise in the field of shredding technology. Today, HAMMEL Recyclingtechnik GmbH is a leader in the area of shredding technology with approx. 600 employees worldwide.
HAMMEL Recyclintechnik GmbH produces its shredder’s steel frame in the Ukraine, where two of its subsidiaries, companies Olnova and Hadea, are responsible for the production. The final assembly of the HAMMEL products takes place in the heart of Thuringia, in Bad Salzungen, Germany.

HAMMEL GB&I was founded in 2009 as 100% manufacturer owned subsidiary. Today HAMMEL GB&I is one of several branches worldwide and is responsible entirely for serving British and Irish recycling companies.
The HAMMEL Swiss Recycling Systems AG is in charge of all sales, trading and service aspects in relations to recycling technique in Switzerland. Local clients are individually taken care of and advised by competent sales representatives. The “mwn GmbH” has been acting as a service partner for the Swiss Recycling Systems AG since 2008.
Today, BAV consists of over 70 member companies and represents around 80% of the entire German waste wood market. Today, the main goal of the association is to ensure an intensive and controlled quality management for composts. Consistent control and management of goods as well as the support for compost producers play a key role.
